Appreciate the contributors
With ambrosius.ai, we want to make the process of collectively crafting a farewell gift for a colleague as simple - yet as personal - as possible. At the same time, we want to enable on-site, hybrid and remote reams to "endorse" a leaving colleague the best way.
The missing product piece
While this is possible with our initital version of ambrosius.ai, even with the first books that were craft by the very first teams, we realized a lack and a need for sharing these amazing results with the people who contributed.
We truly believe that letting someone go is as emotional for the co-worders as it isfor the person taking a next step.
Taking the experience from fully on-site farewel events and print-only products, we thaught some pieces to the puzzle are missing.
- While submitting some memories and anecdotes with an easy-to-understand form is fun, it lacks the moment of seeing the final outcome.
How will it look like? How is it connected to the thaughts of of others? - And at the same time: What did others write and reflect on? Could I even extend someone's thoughts? Add my perspective, my memories?
Having questions like these in mind, we came up with the idea of giving back, sharing early, simply appreciating the effort people put in.
How we plan to do it
To give back, we will implement a feature of a sneak-preview for contributors. As soon as someone submitted his or her memories and personal testimonials, we send an email.
Each co-worker will be able to see and feel his content, beautifully rendered and partly in the context of other's thoughts and feelings.
We are confident that contributors feel appreciated by this way better than with being left with a 'Thank You' Page of a form.
How we came up with it
From a product perspective, it's actually quite an interesting feature as nobody asked for it.
In the beginning we manually shared the final, digital results with the creators. Everytime the reaction was a simple yet honest WOW or even surprised. People didn't know that the final farewell booklet will be a printed book.
So sharing early also should bring something of that feeling: 'wow, we are doing something really cool and exceptional for our colleague'.
We assume that this is someting people will enjoy.
So, enough of the talking: It's time to build this.
Stay tuned.
